(Is 13:1) THE VISION WHICH ESAIAS SON OF AMOS SAW AGAINST BABYLON.
(사 13:1) 아모스의 아들 이사야가 본 바빌론에 대한 이상이라.
(Is 13:2) Lift up a standard on the mountain of the plain, exalt the voice to them, beckon with the hand, open the gates, ye rulers.
(사 13:2) 너희 통치자들은 평원의 산 위에 기를 세우고 그들에게 목소리를 높이며 손짓하고 문들을 열라.
(Is 13:3) I give command, and I bring them: giants are coming to fulfil my wrath, rejoicing at the same time and insulting.
(사 13:3) 내가 명령하여 그들을 데려오노라. 거인들이 즐거워하고 모욕하면서 나의 진노를 채우기 위해 오리라.
(Gn 6:1) And Noe was five hundred years old, and he begot three sons, Sem, Cham, and Japheth.
(창 6:1) 그리고 노아가 500세였으며 셈, 함, 그리고 야벳 세 아들을 낳았더라.
(Gn 6:2) And it came to pass when men began to be numerous upon the earth, and daughters were born to them,
(창 6:2) 그리고 지면에 사람들이 많아지기 시작했을 때 그들에게 딸들이 태어나니
(Gn 6:3) that the sons of God having seen the daughters of men that they were beautiful, took to themselves wives of all whom they chose.
(창 6:3) 하나님의 아들들이 사람들의 딸들이 아름다움을 보고 자기들이 고르는 대로 모두 아내를 삼았더라.
(Gn 6:4) And the Lord God said, My Spirit shall certainly not remain among these men for ever, because they are flesh, but their days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
(창 6:4) 그리고 주 하나님께서 말씀하시기를 내 영이 단연코 이 사람들 가운데 영원히 남아있지 않으리니 그들이 육체가 됨이라. 그러나 그들의 날들은 120년이 되리라.
(Gn 6:5) Now the giants were upon the earth in those days; and after that when the sons of God were wont to go in to the daughters of men, they bore children to them, those were the giants of old, the men of renown.
(창 6:5) 이제 그당시 땅에는 거인들이 있었고 그후로 하나님의 아들들이 사람들의 딸들에게로 들어가 그들이 저들에게 아이들을 낳았으니 바로 그들이 옛적의 거인들 즉 유명인들이었더라.
(Rv 18:23) And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee： for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
(계 18:23) 등잔불 빛이 다시는 네 안에서 비치지 아니하며 신랑과 신부의 음성도 다시는 네 안에서 들리지 아니하리로다. 네 상인들은 땅의 큰 자들이었으며 네 마법에 모든 민족들이 속아 넘어갔도다.
(Is 13:4) A voice of many nations on the mountains, even like to that of many nations; a voice of kings and nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts has given command to a war-like nation,
(사 13:4) 산들에서 많은 민족들의 소리가 있되 많은 민족들의 소리와 같으니 곧 민족들과 왕들이 함께 모여 떠드는 소리라. 만군의 주께서 싸우는 민족에게 명령하시는도다.
(Is 13:5) to come from a land afar off, from the utmost foundation of heaven; the Lord and his warriors are coming to destroy all the world.
(사 13:5) 그들이 먼 땅에서 하늘의 기초 맨 끝에서 오나니 곧 주와 그분의 전사들이 온 세상을 멸하러 오리라.
(Is 13:6) Howl ye, for the day of the Lord is near, and destruction from God shall arrive.
(사 13:6) 주의 날이 가깝고 하나님으로부터 멸망이 이르리니 너희는 울부짖으라.
(Is 13:7) Therefore every hand shall become powerless, and every soul of man shall be dismayed.
(사 13:7) 그런즉 모든 손이 힘을 잃고 모든 사람의 혼이 경악하리라.
(Is 13:8) The elders shall be troubled, and pangs shall seize them, as of a woman in travail: and they shall mourn one to another, and shall be amazed, and shall change their countenance as a flame.
(사 13:8) 장로들이 곤경에 처하여 산고하는 여인같은 진통에 사로잡혀서 서로 보고 한탄하며 불꽃 같은 낯빛이 되리라.
(Is 13:9) For behold! The day of the Lord is coming which cannot be escaped, a day of wrath and anger, to make the world desolate, and to destroy sinners out of it.
(사 13:9) 보라! 피할 수 없는 주의 날 곧 세상을 황폐하게 하고 그중의 죄인들을 멸하시기 위한 진노와 분노의 날이 오리라.
(Is 13:10) For the stars of heaven, and Orion, and all the host of heaven, shall not give their light; and it shall be dark at sunrise, and the moon shall not give her light.
(사 13:10) 하늘의 별들과 오리온과 하늘의 모든 무리가 빛을 내지 아니하며 동이 터도 어둡고 달이 자기 빛을 내지 아니하리라.
(Is 13:11) And I will command evils for the whole world, and will visit their sins on the ungodly: and I will destroy the pride of transgressors, and will bring low the pride of the haughty.
(사 13:11) 내가 온 세상에 악한 것들을 명하리니 불경건한 자들의 죄악을 찾아오리라. 내가 범법자들의 교만을 멸하고 거만한 자들의 교만을 낮추리라.
(Is 13:12) And they that are left shall be more precious than gold tried in the fire; and a man shall be more precious than the stone that is in Suphir.
(사 13:12) 그리고 남은자들은 불로 연단한 정금보다 더 귀하며 사람이 오빌의 광석보다 더 희귀하리라.
(Is 13:13) For the heaven shall be enraged, and the earth shall be shaken from her foundation, because of the fierce anger of the Lord of hosts, in the day in which his wrath shall come on.
(사 13:13) 그러므로 만군의 주의 진노가 임하는 날에 그분의 격렬한 분노로 인하여 하늘이 격분하고 땅이 기초부터 흔들리리라.
(Is 13:14) And they that are left shall be as a fleeing fawn, and as a stray sheep, and there shall be none to gather them: so that a man shall turn back to his people, and a man shall flee to his own land.
(사 13:14) 또한 남은자들은 도망가는 새끼 사슴 같이 되고 길 잃은 양 같이 되어도 그들을 모으는 자가 없으리니 각각 자기 동족에게로 돌아가며 각각 자기 조국으로 도망치리라.
(Is 13:15) For whosoever shall be taken shall be overcome; and they that are gathered together shall fall by the sword.
(사 13:15) 잡히는 자마다 굴복당하고 함께 모이는 자들마다 칼에 쓰러지며
(Is 13:16) And they shall dash their children before their eyes; and they shall spoil their houses, and shall take their wives.
(사 13:16) 그들의 자녀들이 눈앞에서 메어쳐지고 그들의 집들은 노략을 당하며 그들의 아내들은 강간을 당하리라.
(Lk 21:20) And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
(눅 21:20) 너희가 예루살렘이 군대들에게 에워싸이는 것을 보거든 그것의 황폐함이 가까이 이른 줄 알라.
(Lk 21:21) Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
(눅 21:21) 그때에 유대에 있는 자들은 산들로 도망하고 그것의 한가운데 있는 자들은 밖으로 떠나가며 시골에 있는 자들은 그리로 들어가지 말지어다.
(Lk 21:22) For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
(눅 21:22) 이 날들은 기록된 모든 것을 성취하기 위한 원수 갚는 날들이니라.
(Lk 21:23) But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
(눅 21:23) 오직 그 날들에는 아이 밴 자들과 젖 먹이는 자들에게 화가 있으리로다! 그 땅에 큰 고난이 있고 이 백성에게 진노가 있으리라.
(Lk 21:24) And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations： and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
(눅 21:24) 또 그들이 칼날에 쓰러지고 모든 민족들에게 포로로 잡혀 가며 예루살렘은 이방인들의 때가 찰 때까지 이방인들에게 짓밟히리라.
(Is 13:17) Behold, I will stir up against you the Medes, who do not regard silver, neither have they need of gold.
(사 13:17) 보라, 내가 은을 하찮게 여기고 금도 마다하는 메대 사람들을 일으켜 너희를 대적하게 하리니

메대 사람들: 이란인들
(Is 13:18) They shall break the bows of the young men; and they shall have no mercy on your children; nor shall their eyes spare thy children.
(사 13:18) 그들이 젊은이들의 활을 부러뜨리고 너희의 자녀들을 불쌍히 여기지 아니하며 그들의 눈이 너희 자녀들을 아껴 보지 아니하리라.
(Is 13:19) And Babylon, which is called glorious by the king of the Chaldeans, shall be as when God overthrew Sodoma and Gomorrha.
(사 13:19) 갈대아 왕이 영화롭다 한 바빌론이 하나님께서 소돔과 고모라를 뒤엎으신 때와 같이 되리니
Babylon: Jerusalem of the counterfeit Israel(the synagogue of Satan) of this earth
바빌론: 이 땅의 위조 이스라엘(사탄의 회당)의 예루살렘
(Rv 17:1) And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters：
(계 17:1) 또 일곱 병을 가진 일곱 천사 중의 하나가 와서 나와 이야기하며 내게 이르되, 이리로 오라. 많은 물들 위에 앉은 큰 음녀가 받을 심판을 내가 네게 보여 주리라.
(Rv 17:2) With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
(계 17:2) 땅의 왕들이 그녀와 음행하였고 땅의 거주하는 자들도 그녀의 음행의 포도주에 취하게 되었도다, 하고
(Rv 17:3) So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness： and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
(계 17:3) 이처럼 영 안에서 나를 광야로 데리고 가니라. 내가 보니 한 여자가 신성모독하는 이름들로 가득하고 일곱 머리와 열 뿔을 가진 주홍색 짐승 위에 앉아 있더라.
(Rv 17:4) And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication：
(계 17:4) 그 여자는 자주색 옷과 주홍색 옷을 차려입었고 금과 보석들과 진주들로 꾸몄으며 가증한 것들과 자기의 음행으로 인한 더러운 것으로 가득한 금잔을 손에 가졌더라.
(Rv 17:5) And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
(계 17:5) 그녀의 이마에 한 이름이 기록되어 있었는데, {신비라, 큰 바빌론이라, 땅의 창녀들과 가증한 것들의 어미라}, 하였더라.
(Rv 17:6) And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus： and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
(계 17:6) 또 내가 보매 그 여자가 성도들의 피와 예수님의 순교자들의 피에 취하였으므로 내가 그녀를 보고 크게 놀라며 이상히 여기니
(Rv 17:18) And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
(계 17:18) 또 네가 본 그 여자는 땅의 왕들 위에 군림하는 저 큰 도시니라, 하더라.
(Rv 11:8) And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
(계 11:8) 그들의 죽은 몸이 그 큰 도시의 거리에 놓이리라. 그 도시는 영적으로 소돔과 이집트라고 하며 그곳은 또한 우리 [주]께서 십자가에 못 박히신 곳이니라.
(Is 13:20) It shall never be inhabited, neither shall any enter into it for many generations: neither shall the Arabians pass through it; nor shall shepherds at all rest in it.
(사 13:20) 그곳에는 결코 사람이 거주하지 아니하고 대대로 아무도 들어가지 아니하며 아라비아 사람들도 그곳을 지나가지 아니하고 아무 목자도 거기에 안주하지 아니하나
(Is 13:21) But wild beasts shall rest there; and the houses shall be filled with howling; and monsters shall rest there, and devils shall dance there,
(사 13:21) 오직 들짐승들이 거기에서 쉬며 집들은 울부짖음으로 가득하고 괴물들이 거기에 거하며 악마들이 거기서 춤을 추고
(Is 13:22) and satyrs shall dwell there; and hedgehogs shall make their nests in their houses. It will come soon, and will not tarry.
(사 13:22) 사티로스들이 그곳에 거하며 고슴도치들이 그들의 집을 자기들의 둥지 삼으리라. 때가 가까우니 지체하지 아니하리라.

(Rv 18:1) And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
(계 18:1) 이 일들 뒤에 내가 보니 큰 권능을 가진 또 다른 천사가 하늘로부터 내려오는데 그의 영광으로 인해 땅이 환해지더라.
(Rv 18:2) And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
(계 18:2) 그가 우렁찬 음성으로 힘차게 외쳐 이르되, 저 큰 바빌론이 무너졌도다, 무너졌도다. 그녀가 마귀들의 처소가 되고 모든 더러운 영의 요새가 되며 모든 부정하고 가증한 새들의 집이 되었도다.
(Rv 18:3) For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
(계 18:3) 모든 민족들이 그녀의 음행으로 인한 진노의 포도즙을 마셨고 또 땅의 왕들이 그녀와 음행하였으며 땅의 상인들도 그녀의 넘치는 사치로 말미암아 치부하였도다, 하더라.
(Rv 18:4) And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
(계 18:4) 또 내가 들으니 하늘로부터 또 다른 음성이 나서 이르되, 내 백성아, 너희는 그녀에게서 나와 그녀의 죄들에 참여하는 자가 되지 말고 그녀가 받을 재앙들을 받지 말라.
(Rv 18:5) For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
(계 18:5) 그녀의 죄들이 하늘에까지 닿았고 [하나님]께서 그녀의 불법들을 기억하셨느니라.
(Rv 18:6) Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works： in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
(계 18:6) 그녀가 너희에게 갚아 준 대로 그녀에게 갚아 주고 그녀의 행위에 따라 두 배를 그녀에게 두 배로 갚아 주며 그녀가 채운 잔에 두 배를 그녀에게 채워 주라.
(Rv 18:7) How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her： for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
(계 18:7) 그녀가 자기를 영화롭게 하고 호화로이 살았은즉 그만큼 그녀에게 고통과 슬픔을 주라. 그녀가 마음속으로 이르기를, 나는 여왕으로 앉아 있고 과부가 아니므로 결코 슬픔을 보지 아니하리로다, 하나니
(Rv 18:8) Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire： for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
(계 18:8) 그러므로 그녀가 받을 재앙들 곧 사망과 애곡과 기근이 한 날에 임하리라. 그녀가 완전히 불에 타리니 그녀를 심판하시는 [주] [하나님]은 강하시니라.
(Rv 18:9) And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
(계 18:9) 그녀와 음행하고 호화로이 살던 땅의 왕들이 그녀가 탈 때에 나는 연기를 보고 그녀로 인해 슬피 탄식하며 그녀를 위해 애통할 것이요,
(Rv 18:10) Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
(계 18:10) 그녀가 받는 고통을 두려워하므로 멀리 서서 이르되, 슬프도다, 슬프도다, 저 큰 도시 바빌론이여, 저 막강한 도시여! 너에 대한 심판이 한 시간 내에 이르렀도다, 하리로다.
