(Isaiah 3:1) Behold now, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will take away from Jerusalem and from Judea the mighty man and mighty woman, the strength of bread, and strength of water,
(사 3:1) 보라, 주 곧 만군의 주께서 예루살렘과 유다로부터 강한 남자와 강한 여자, 빵의 힘, 물의 힘,
(Isaiah 3:2) the great and mighty man, the warrior and the judge, and the prophet, and the counsellor, and the elder,
(사 3:2) 위대하고 강한 자, 용사, 재판관, 선지자, 조언자, 장로,
(Isaiah 3:3) the captain of fifty also, and the honourable counsellor, and the wise artificer, and the intelligent hearer.
(사 3:3) 또한 오십부장, 존귀한 조언자, 지혜로운 장인, 지식 있는 경청자를 제거하시리라.
(Isaiah 3:4) And I will make youths their princes, and mockers shall have dominion over them.
(사 3:4) 내가 아이들이 그들의 통치자가 되게 하고 조롱하는 자들이 그들을 다스리게 하리라.
(Isaiah 3:5) And the people shall fall, man upon man, and every man upon his neighbour: the child shall insult the elder man, and the base the honourable.
(사 3:5) 그 백성이 사람마다 이웃마다 타락하여 아이들이 장로들을 모욕하고 낮은 자가 높은 자를 모욕하리라.
(Isaiah 3:6) For a man shall lay hold of his brother, as one of his father’s household, saying, Thou hast raiment, be thou our ruler, and let my meat be under thee.
(사 3:6) 어떤 사람이 자기 아버지 집의 한 사람으로 자기 형제를 붙들고 이르기를, 네게는 예복이 있으니 너는 우리의 통치자가 되어 네 아래서 먹고 살게 하라, 할 것이요,
(Isaiah 3:7) And he shall answer in that day, and say, I will not be thy ruler; for I have no bread in my house, nor raiment: I will not be the ruler of this people.
(사 3:7) 그러면 그 날에 그가 대답하여 이르기를, 나는 너를 다스리는 자가 되지 아니하리라. 내 집에는 빵도 없고 예복도 없나니 나는 이 백성의 통치자가 되지 않으리라, 하리라.
(Isaiah 3:8) For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judea has fallen, and their tongues have spoken with iniquity, disobedient as they are towards the Lord.
(사 3:8) 예루살렘이 파멸당하고 유다가 몰락하였으니 이는 그들이 주를 대적하여 그들의 혀로 사악하게 말하며 불순종하기 때문이니라.
(Isaiah 3:9) Wherefore now their glory has been brought low, and the shame of their countenance has withstood them, and they have proclaimed their sin as Sodom, and made it manifest.
(사 3:9) 그러므로 이제 그들의 영광은 낮아졌고 그들의 수치스러운 본색이 드러나 그들의 죄를 소돔 같이 선포하며 드러냈도다.
(Isaiah 3:10) Woe to their soul, for they have devised an evil counsel against themselves, saying against themselves, Let us bind the just, for he is burdensome to us: therefore shall they eat the fruits of their works.
(사 3:10) 그들의 혼에 화가 있으리니 스스로에게 사악한 조언을 고안해내어 말하기를 그가 우리에게 부담스러우니 의로운 자를 묶자 하였으므로 그들이 그들 행위의 열매를 먹으리라.
(Isaiah 3:11) Woe to the transgressor! evils shall happen to him according to the works of his hands.
(사 3:11) 불의한 자에게 화가 있을지어다! 그의 손이 행한 대로 그에게 악한 일들이 일어나리라.
(Isaiah 3:12) O my people, your exactors strip you, and extortioners rule over you: O my people, they that pronounce you blessed lead you astray, and pervert the path of your feet.
(사 3:12) 내 백성아, 너희 포식자들이 너를 벗겨먹고, 착취자들이 너희를 다스리는도다. 오 내 백성아, 너에게 축도하는 그들이 너를 잘못된 길로 인도하며 네가 타락한 길로 가게 하는도다.
(Isaiah 3:13) But now the Lord will stand up for judgment, and will enter into judgment with his people.
(사 3:13) 그러나 이제 주께서 심판하려고 일어서시며 자신의 백성을 심판하시리도다.
(Isaiah 3:14) The Lord himself shall enter into judgment with the elders of the people, and with their rulers: but why have ye set my vineyard on fire, and why is the spoil of the poor in your houses?
(사 3:14) 주께서 직접 백성의 장로들과 그들의 통치자들을 심판하시리라: 너희가 왜 내 포도원을 불질렀으며 왜 가난한 자들에게서 약탈한 것들이 너희 집에 있느냐?
(Isaiah 3:15) Why do ye wrong my people, and shame the face of the poor?
(사 3:15) 너희가 왜 내 백성에게 잘못하고 가난한 자들을 모욕하느냐?
(1Pt 4:17) For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God： and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
(벧전 4:17) [하나님]의 집에서 반드시 심판을 시작할 때가 이르렀나니 만일 그것이 우리에게서 먼저 시작되면 [하나님]의 복음에 순종하지 아니하는 자들의 마지막은 어떠하겠느냐?
(1Pt 4:18) And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
(벧전 4:18) 또 의로운 자가 겨우 구원을 받으면 경건치 아니한 자와 죄인은 어디에 모습을 나타내겠느냐?
(1Pt 4:19) Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
(벧전 4:19) 그러므로 [하나님]의 뜻대로 고난을 받는 자들은 잘 행하는 가운데 자기 혼을 그분 곧 신실하신 [창조자]께 맡겨 지키시게 할지어다.
(Isaiah 3:16) Thus saith the Lord, Because the daughters of Sion are haughty, and have walked with an outstretched neck, and with winking of the eyes, and motion of the feet, at the same time drawing their garments in trains, and at the same time sporting with their feet:
(사 3:16) 그러므로 주께서 말씀하시기를, 시온의 딸들이 오만하여 뺀 목과 음탕한 눈짓과 발짓을 하며 나다닐 때에 옷을 끌며 자랑스럽게 활보하도다, 하시는도다.
(Isaiah 3:17) therefore the Lord will humble the chief daughters of Sion, and the Lord will expose their form in that day;
(사 3:17) 그러므로 주께서 시온의 딸들의 주요 인사들을 낮추시며 주께서 그날에 그들의 본색을 드러내시리라.
(Isaiah 3:18) and the Lord will take away the glory of their raiment, the curls and the fringes, and the crescents,
(사 3:18) 그 날에 주께서 그들 예복의 영광, 주름과 술장식, 초승달 장식,
(Isaiah 3:19) and the chains, and the ornaments of their faces,
(사 3:19) 사슬, 얼굴 장신구,
(Isaiah 3:20) and the array of glorious ornaments, and the armlets, and the bracelets, and the wreathed work, and the finger-rings, and the ornaments for the right hand,
(사 3:20) 영예의 장신구 배열, 부적, 팔찌, 화환, 반지들, 오른손 장신구들,
(Isaiah 3:21-23) and the ear-rings, and the garments with scarlet borders, and the garments with purple grounds, and the shawls to be worn in the house, and the Spartan transparent dresses, and those made of fine linen, and the purple ones, and the scarlet ones, and the fine linen, interwoven with gold and purple, and the light coverings for couches.
(사 3:21) 귀걸이, 주홍색 테두리가 있는 옷, 자주색 바탕의 옷, 집에서 걸치는 쇼울, 스파르탄 비치는 드레스, 세마포로 만든 드레스, 자주색 드레스, 주홍색 드레스, 금실과 자주색 실로 섞어 짠 세마포, 소파용 가벼운 덮개를 치우시리라.
(Isaiah 3:24) And there shall be instead of a sweet smell, dust; and instead of a girdle, thou shalt gird thyself with a rope; and instead of a golden ornament for the head, thou shalt have baldness on account of thy works; and instead of a tunic with a scarlet ground, thou shalt gird thyself with sackcloth.
(사 3:24) 그때에 먼지가 향기로운 냄새를 대신하며 밧줄이 띠를 대신하고 네 행위로 인해 대머리가 머리 금장식을 대신하며 굵은 베옷이 주홍색 바탕의 겉옷을 대신하리라.
(Isaiah 3:25) And thy most beautiful son whom thou lovest shall fall by the sword; and your mighty men shall fall by the sword, and shall be brought low.
(사 3:25) 그리고 네가 가장 사랑하는 가장 아름다운 아들이 칼에 쓰러지고 네 용사들은 전쟁에서 쓰러져 낮아지며
(Isaiah 3:26) And the stores of your ornaments shall mourn, and thou shalt be left alone, and shalt be levelled with the ground. [LXX]
(사 3:26) 너희의 화려한 상점들은 애곡하고 너희만 홀로 남겨져 바닥까지 무너지리라. [70인역]
